Let's make some Valentines! (Patreon)

Hello friends!

It’s time for our first Patreon Community event of 2021! In honor of Valentines Day, we will be creating a pack of downloadable Valentines together! The cards will be inspired by classic grocery-store Valentines, like these Jester Valentines I made a few years ago! When we’re done, I’ll be posting links to the project on my social media to show off what we’ve created.

This project will take place in several stages over the next few weeks, ending in time for the holiday!

Stage One

We will collect images to use in the Valentines. Any Patron is welcome to submit an image for this project. You’re welcome to submit photos of yourself in or out of cosplay, your pets, or something else you’ve created!

Images should be:

• Appropriate for general audiences
• At least 1024px on its longest side (you can check image resolution here)
• One you have full rights to (or an image your photographer has approved for this use)

Photos will be accepted until 11:59pm MT on January 24. Depending on the number of submissions, we may not use every submitted photo.

Stage Two

We will open a form on January 25 to submit captions for each photo. Clever and punny submissions are encouraged! Captions must not be explicit.

Caption submissions will be accepted until 11:59pm MT on January 31.

Stage Three

All captions will be run by the person who submitted the image. This will be done through email on February 1st. At this time, you will have the opportunity to veto any caption. Participants will have until 11:59pm MT on February 3 to respond to this email. If you do not respond to the email, we will assume that all captions are acceptable to you.

Stage Four

The community will vote on our favorite captions! Voting will take place from February 4 to February 11th!

Finally, your mod team will combine the top caption with each photo and create a downloadable pack of clever and geeky cards!
