This month’s costume! (Patreon)

Thumbelina was my second ever cosplay! I’ve been wanting to remake it for a long time, to bring my new skill set to this simple little dress. While my first take was a pretty literal interpretation of the animation, by now I’ve fallen in love with textures and I’m excited to bring some more detail to my second take!

I’ve included some photos of my previous version (on me — oh god, my eyebrows — and on a dress form) as well as a picture of some of the fabrics I’m experimenting with right now!

I think the most challenging part of this build will be the wig. My first attempt was so heavy, it barely stayed on my head. I’m eager to do some research and put some work into a structure for this wig that will make it more wearable.
