New Year Hello! (Patreon)

Hello hello hello darling patrons, happy Thursday, and happy New Year! I just wanted to pop-in to give you all a quick hello and a heads up for my plans for January!

I am currently coming off of a long, lovely break after a long, exhausting couple of months of work. I am so thankful that thanks to your support, a successful Etsy sales season, and 4+ holiday markets and pop-ups I was able to take almost 3 weeks off from work to travel to my sister’s home in Colorado to celebrate my 26th birthday, travel to my hometown in Virginia to celebrate Christmas, and then to return to my partner in Seattle to celebrate one of his favorite holidays, New Years. I had a pretty nasty cold while I was in Virginia that forced me to sleep for two days. But, I also had plenty of relaxing time doing puzzles and watching movies with my family, playing Pokemon Sword, Celeste, and Heave Ho on my Switch, and taking some peaceful nature walks in my parents’ beautiful rural neighborhood.

Now that I’m back in Seattle with Zach and Pumpkin, I have some work projects that I intend to do in January, but I’ll mostly be prioritizing doing some personal life set up for the New Year. During the beginning of January I’m going to take some time to deep clean my apartment, declutter my belongings and studio, buy some new things that need replacing, journal and reflect on the past decade, and envision my hopes for the new one.

I plan to include you, my lovely patrons, in this reflection process with a big 2019 year in review post that I’ll share with you all next Friday. This will take the place of my standard monthly update, and my 2018 year in review was one of my most popular Patreon posts last year, so I hope you’ll all really enjoy this one!

My other Patreon plan for January is a new Arty Business post, which I need your help on! I’d love to round out this series with 3 more articles, for a total of 10 Arty Business guides before we move on to a new series with more of a focus on art technique/process. I know I’ve asked this many times before, but I’d love your requests for the last three articles. What Arty Business topics would you like to learn about for the new year? Even if you’ve sent me suggestions before I’d love to see them compiled in the comments on this post if you can! They can be as broad or specific as you like, or maybe there‘s a smaller segment of a previous article you’d like expanded on. I have some ideas, but I really like to hear from you all about what you’d like some help or info on!
