Symmetry Speed Paint (Patreon)

Your weekly newsletter is coming in an hour or so but in the meantime I thought you might be interested in a little speed paint video!

Procreate, the program I use on my iPad to do my illustrations, has recently added a few new features including a guided symmetrical tool. This means whatever your draw on one side is automatically mirrored on the other. Late one night I sucked myself in to doing a little semi-realistic doodle of a face. It started out fairly creepy (because NO human face is perfectly symmetrical) but I pushed myself to make it as not creepy as I could. What do you think? Pretty, or creepy?

I also am tested out a new video editing app besides iMovie. This time I used Splice, an editing app created by GoPro. Let me know if you can tell the difference! It’s already nicer than iMovie because it comes with a big library of pretty decent free music and it allows zooming and cropping of videos.
