I saw this movie with my church group as a teenager and didn't remember it until the end of the episode! I guess I must've blocked it out. 🤷‍♂️

I was thinking while listening to this "Hey, this movie sounds a lot like the premise of the excellent Arthur C. Clarke novel Childhood's End." I looked up what else some of the cast has been in, and found out that the little girl, who evidently pulled double duty as both Abby and Lucinda, was in a SyFy production of Childhood's End. Seems like she may be a little typecast.
