Top Tier Reward Discontinuation (Patreon)

I am sad to announce that I have decided to discontinue my top reward tier ($30/month, entitling the enrolled patrons to a monthly fully detailed character drawing). This change will take effect at the end of June 2016, meaning that all drawings due to the participating patrons until then shall be honored. After that, I'll eliminate this reward tier. The affected patrons are advised to adjust or withdraw their pledges before the processing of the payments for July 2016.

Why am I doing this, you ask? Well, at the beginning of 2016, I made a resolution to spend more time developing my personal projects, particularly the Musteladies universe and characters, in an attempt to increase their awareness and popularity among the furry fandom, and to use them to start a storytelling venture. Unfortunately, many factors have made this impossible up until now, the end of April, and I'm starting to get afraid that I won't be able to fulfill my resolution to a satisfactory degree.

The biggest reason for this hangup was the commission run I took during January, and which I still haven't been able to complete to this day. But in second place comes undoubtedly my commitment to executing the rewards for my top tier patrons, which is something that ends up taking me anywhere from 6 to 10 full daily drawing sessions each month. As you can imagine, it is becoming hard for me to justify spending up to a third of my total monthly drawing time for a total income of $90.

I'm hoping that phasing out this reward will allow me to dedicate more time to my personal projects, enabling my art to get closer to the feeling and spirit touted by my patronage project, and in the long run, contributing even more to the fulfillment of the goals for which it was created.

This discontinuation might not be permanent. If I am able to get significantly faster in the future, I might bring it back, although under slightly different terms.

To all top level patrons who have stuck with me for this long, with the promise of the  monthly reward of one of my still-not-quite-professional illustrations, I can only deeply thank your loyalty and preference, and hope that this won't be the last we've seen of each other.
