a little fun fact for the ending: there was a poster/teaser/whatever where you see that last scene of an arm and powder looking angry and everyone thought it would be vi's arm. imagine the reactions when that scene played LOL

Do note that Silco doesn't really have a use for a child, he decided to take Powder in because he sympathises with her - being "abandoned" by a sibling and all that. Just check out the way he looks at Vander's corpse when Powder's hugging him.

Hi there, I'm new here, joined for Arcane. I very much like your reactions to the first act of this great show. 😊 By the way, your reaction is like everyones who watched this episode for the first time. I was heartbroken and devastated afterwards and even now, re-watching it with you guys, I could't stop myself from crying. It is even worse when you know the whole episode what is coming, because you feel bad for their little patchwork family from the beginning, especially for the two sisters. 💔😭🙈 I don't know how far into Arcane you are right now, but I would like to suggest you watch the next three episodes back to back, cause they are meant to be acts (Episodes 1, 2, 3 are act I - 4, 5, 6 are act II and 7, 8, 9 are act III). They were published this way back in November '21. We had to wait at least week - I think - until we knew how the story went on. And don't skip the intro in one of the episodes in the third act. It does not change, but you will look at it differently. 🙂 Regarding your thoughts on Powder and Silco: Why should Powder attack Silco? She doesn't know who he is, she never saw him before. She was always insecure, sensitive and clingy and depended on the support and protection of her big sister, since she was the only one of her family she had left. The consequences of her actions broke her beyond repair and now that her de facto motherfigure abandoned her (she didn't see Marcus chloroform and kidnap Vi), she clings to the only person available and a seemingly kind one at that. Prda in the comment above mine said everything about Silcos POV. For Vi, I can't blame her for hitting Powder. She was traumatized as much as her little sister by the events, even more so - as you said yourself - since she had to witness the death of her people for the second time in a short amount of time. She reacted the wrong way, but understandably so. Other than the little one at this moment, she already had realised that she has lost everyone through the hands of Powder. How could anyone react in such an extreme situation calm and collected? And don't forget, she is only a teenager (and a hotheaded one), too. This is a lose-lose situation for everyone. 😨🙈 Powder will develop a grudge against Vi for sure, thinking she left her. But Vi? The last thing she saw was Silco standing over her sister, before she was kidnapped. She will more likely want to find her sister, if she gets the opportunity, but fight her? 🤔 This show is so wonderfully done in every aspect, it is as close to perfection as a tv-show can be. 🤩 Fun-fact: The voice actress for Powder was only 11 years old (about the age of Powder) when she recorded her lines. She set the level for the other voice-actors very high. One last thing, look out for the details in every shot in every episode. You can discover so much about this world, the story or the characters, that is never told in dialogue. The creators of Arcane are masters of visual storytelling. 🤯😍✨👌 The comments above mine said it absolutely right. The rollercoaster just went down the first hill, you still have all the loops and turns and slopes ahead of you. 😉😃 I'm looking forward to your next reactions, thanx for letting me re-discover this show with you. 😊

Powders reaction to Silco at the end seems to surprise many. But you have to consider the facts. Powder has a massive fear of abandonment. She always felt "not good enough" for her gang and the cause of the undercity. The only person really supporting and validating her was her sister Vi (yes Vander also). And then in this moment, when Vi left her, of course she is going to cling to the first person who is willing to show an ounce of affection and kindness. You have to remember, that Powder doesnt know Silco is the man who stabbed Vander.

I don't understand why your first impression is that "Silco takes advantage of her". Like literally what exactly is a little powerless girl's value to a crimelord kingpin? No, you read that completely wrong. He doesn't "take advantage" of her. In fact, Powder took that decision for him when she ran into his arms, mistaking his sweet soothing voice for someone ready to help her when she's at her lowest. Silco doesn't take advantage of a girl with no value to him. He sees himself in her. He relates and connects to her pain as he watches his "brother"'s lifeless body, the one who left Silco, abandonned him. I literally do not understand why anyone would immediately think "Oh Silco is making a calculated move to take advantage of someone". That makes literally zero sense whatsoever. He may use her later, but at this very moment, all he does is empathize. It's not hard to understand is it?

Yours is as much of a leap as the taking of explanation. Because up to that point, he was shown to be only calculated and vengeful. So its normal to assume he was taking advantage of her or her moment of weakness Here is an idea Why xant it be both?
