Many years ago a lot of people used to get their milk from a "milk man" if you know what a I mean, who would show up in a truck and leave a couple of bottles on their porch. At some point it became a thing to build homes with "milk doors" or "milk chutes" where milk and other items were less likely to be stolen. Kind of like an Amazon locker, but only for milk.
