Info For Supporters (Patreon)

It's time I make a post on here to give new supporters an idea of what to expect around here and maybe provide a few links to things.  Let's start with the show archives.

          THE HOBOSODE ARCHIVES

Hobosdes are the secret shows that only supporters get to hear. There are several ways you can listen to and download all 200+ of these shows.

1.  Click on the Hobosodes tag on Patreon. This will bring up every post containing Hobosodes. It'll take a lot of clicking and scrolling, but they're all there. You can sort to start from the beginning or from the end.

2. I've made two posts that contain all of the Hobosodes as attachments. One of the posts has them zipped into archives and the other is just straight mp3 files that you have to download individually. Click here to download the zipped archives or click here to download the mp3 archives.

3. Download a podcast app for your phone or tablet. Put your secret RSS link into the podcast app. Now you can download all the content straight to your device. More information on podcast apps and feeds is further down in this post. Using a podcast app is the best way to listen to secret shows. The Patreon app kind of sucks.

          THE SNOW PLOW SHOW ARCHIVES

You can listen to all the back episodes of The Snow Plow Show using the links below.  The archives tend to break occasionally, so please let me know if anything here doesn't work.

Viewing the archive links lets you listen to the shows in your web browser.  The podcast feeds are RSS XML files which will work with most podcast apps and news readers.

If you'd like access to all of the content that PLA has ever done, more or less, there are currently two options. You can download the PLA Media Pack torrent, which includes all of PLA's videos, prank calls, shows, pictures, texts, music, and other things from the various shows. Download it using your favorite bittorrent client.

The entire PLA Media Pack is also on the PLA Seedbox server now. When you click on that link, Chrome will probably warn you that the website you're attempting to visit is sketchy af. Just ignore that and go to it anyway. You'll find the same stuff that's available in the torrents. Here are a few direct links to directories...

• Shows - an archive of all the PLA shows, both in HQ and LQ formats.
• Slow Plow Intro Songs - all the different intro songs used for the show.
• Music - music created by various PLA people
• Snow Plow SFX - here are pretty much all of the sound effects I've used on the show
• Sound Clips - This is a pretty large collection of all kinds of sound bytes related to the show, including short clips of Roycipients saying silly things, phone things from movies and TV, lots of 1-900 commercials from the 90's, and just weird things I've collected from the show over the years.
• Music Beds - All of the background music used in shows.

           SETTING UP YOUR PODCAST FEED

No matter how often I mention the convenience of podcast feeds on the show, there's still a lot of listeners who listen through their web browsers or through YouTube.  Dammit, you guys, set up a podcast app on your phone.  Search your app store for "podcast player" and pick the one that looks the prettiest.  I've been using one called Podcast Addict for years now on my Android phone. If you're using an Apple device, you should use the one called Podcasts.

Once you download your podcast app, you need to manually add PLA's feed to it.  You can find your podcast feed address in the right side bar of PLA's main Patreon page only from your desktop computer, which is at patreon.com/phonelosers - once you're on that page, look in the right side bar, at the thing called AUDIO RSS LINK.  Copy that link and paste it into your podcast app.

Once you do all that, all of the new PLA shows will magically start appearing in the app.  You can even set it up to automatically download the episode for you while at home so you don't use up all the data on your phone.  Your phone will annoy you with a beep each time a new episode is released and you can choose billions of non-PLA shows to listen to.  It's like living in the future.

Another option with the podcast feed is to use Feedly, which is an RSS-based news reader.  It works the same way as the podcast apps, but it's mainly for text content.  It still works good for catching the latest shows, though.

           YOUR PLA MEMBERSHIP I.D. CARD
