Marvel's 'Grand Design' is a series where Pittsburgh indie cartoonists summarise hundreds of issues of Marvel titles in an enjoyable and eccentric style. Ed Piskor's X-Men series was the best, it was six (big) issues long. Tom Scioli and Jim Rugg only seem to have got two over-sized issues each for Fantastic Four and Hulk retrospectives, so they have a tougher row to hoe.

But it seems to me that one very important character is yet to be given his chance to shine, yes?

The nice thing about Death's Head is that, with his microscopic publishing history, I should be able to put almost every panel he was ever in into two issues, even given both of his incarnations.

Now, this series hasn't been commissioned, and I haven't pitched it, and if it was commissioned, I wouldn't want to do it, because no one would buy it, but just imagine if it existed. The cover is all you need. I am your designated dreamweaver.

A site I just looked up listed 80 total appearances for Death's Head. Seems like enough for someone to do a "read-a-long" podcast if they really wanted to reread all those Marvel UK titles from the '90s.
