DEV Update (Patreon)

Hi All,

Hope you enjoy the teasers I just posted for EP24.  And to fill you in on what's been happening....

Unfortunately, Ace has moved on from the team due to real-life commitments and just not having the time to contribute.  We're not sure if he will be back for episode 25 so for now, I need to write all of the Ep24 scenes we had planned for Ace to write, in addition to completing my own scenes.   I will not be looking to hire a new writer as the process takes way too long (and too much of my time) and in the (almost) 5 years and 100s of auditions, we have only ever found one writer (Ace) who I felt matched my style and could provide the quality we required.   So the team now consists of Cell and I.

As mentioned before, there will be 25 episodes in total for WTHI (plus some epilogues), so episode 24 will be the penultimate episode and 2023 will finally see WTHI completed.  Cell/I had made good progress over December/Christmas.  We have made a good dent in every scene, with the exception of Monica/Zarah and we even expanded our plans to give more screen-time to characters that we didn't initially plan on including in EP24.  So overall, things were looking well but obviously losing Ace is a big set-back as he has been with us for so long and contributed to many great scenes over the past 3 years.  

In addition to finishing the game, we had a lot of plans for 2023 such as re-doing earlier art (and adding animations), correct many minor script errors, flesh out some of the earlier scenes and improve some of the solo-girl paths with more content, add sfx/music to ALL episodes and make a number of much-needed improvements to the game design/GUI/system and also release on Steam.

I had mentioned previously that we hoped to get episode 24 out in February but with us now working as a duo, Cell/I need to put our heads together and figure out a plan for the rest of the game.  Rather than be blindly optimistic and say we can still 100% commit to February, I would rather call it early and say that it could be  a struggle to hit that time-frame at this stage.  I have taken time-off from my real-job for the month of January so will be working on WTHI full-time (plus spare-time) and Cell will continue with his insane amount of logged hours and we will keep you posted.
