Hi All,


Just a quick update on how things have been going over the past week:

Shit!  (The end.)

OK, maybe a little bit more details... :)

As you know :  The WTHI team are currently on the hunt for a new artist.  And that has taken up a LOT of my time over the past week and a half.  Interest has been high, which is great but the process has been very slow.  There's one thing that the past 10 days has taught me is that there quite a few talented artists out there.  But there's a hell of a lot of crazies out there too.  In total, I have dealt with 22 potential artists.  Some interactions were little more than one or two messages whilst others were very long drawn out discussions, sharing of assets, ideas, etc.  Lots of sharing (I think I've shared more words with some them than I have with my girlfriend all last year), descriptions of their requirements, my requirements, looking at samples, etc.... (I'm boring you already so you can imagine how I'm feeling!)

Anyway, the long and the short of it is:   I'm currently working with the final two prospective artists who are putting scenes together as we speak (type) and I'm quietly optimistic that WTHI will get a new artist out of this pair (or maybe even get both of them).  

And based on this time spent auditioning...it means that Ep17 is currently way behind schedule.  However...we are always way behind at this early stage in the dev cycle, so I'm not ready to hit the panic button yet.  So it will take alot of elbow grease but it's not impossible to get back on schedule in the next few weeks and deliver another appropriately sized episode, but as always I'll keep you in the loop and as always (hopefully you'll agree)...I'll be honest.

Also the scenes / character plans for episode 17 remain as per previously published (we're not  dropping anything or cutting anything from our previous plans)

And in other news, I'm approx. 1 hour away from finishing Episode 15 walkthrough.  I'll probably call it a night soon and will finish and post it tomorrow (for the relevant tiers)..

You are always open and communicative, fans should know by now that you always deliver. You take the time you need, even if it would mean a short delay, I can't see how people would not understand it. Well, except for the usual complainers on a certain forum, but those cry "milker" every time a dev has ANY delays. I hope you find a good replacement, still bummed about losing the other two.
