This movie really encapsulates how impactful this game was to the US and to the game of hockey. In the part where the Soviet Union’s coach didn’t pull their goalie late in the third, Herb Brooks said to the Assistant coach “ He doesn’t know what to do”. He’s never been in a situation where his team was down late in a game.
