When I played in HS, which was about 5 years or so before this was made, yes very common for the backup QB to be ignored or have very minimal reps…. At least that’s the impression I had, as I can only speak for my own team. Buddy on the steps is hilarious! “It’s moving!” 😂😂😂

I use closed caption for everything. All shows. All the time. Just helps to clarify dialogue, especially when there's quiet talking, fast talking, slang. I'm American and it's essential when I'm watching shows from the U.K. because of the accents and expressions. Closed caption fills in the gaps -- really becomes necessary with Ted Lasso.

Good pull with SMU, Damo. I'm pretty sure TMU is supposed to be a fictionalized version of SMU. SMU is located in Dallas so it's literally a "Texas Methodist University." Using a fictional school gives the showrunners more creative freedom.
