First off I want to thank Timbo for his time and knowledge in mocap recording. With his help we completely reworked our way how we record. It is now overall more easy and way more precise than before. Honestly after the first records with the new setup I was like "wtf did we do before and why the heck ppl liked our mocaps?!".

Timbo is one of the most important people in the whole VaM community and a really chill dude to work with. If you have some bucks left over for a coffee, maybe you could invest those in his patron project here. Although one of the BEST mocap artists out there, he is pretty much underrated.

Next thing on our agenda was to incorporate facial mocap in VaM. Up to date there is only one specific way to do it. I bought an I PhoneX just to test the MoCap plugin by LFE. It took me around 2-3 days to adjust and fine tune everything. I know it is not perfect but it has great potential. I really love how some expressions turned out, others are a bit off or a bit too exaggerated. Like said there is a lot of room for tweaking. One limiting factor is for sure in how expressions are made in VaM. Being morph based is not ideal for facial recording. But it CAN give SO much to the show, it is incredible. I loved her expressions in the end of the show that much I made a gif out of it just to watch it over and over lol. Yeah, I love what I do haha.

Two things ispired me for "The Gangsta". Some time ago I was watching the movie "Scarface" which somehow reminded me in the good old fashioned movie times where movies were made because of the movie and not because of a franchise. Some days later I came across the "Gangsta" Remix by "Fryex". I loved the modern style and the female voice. It has a really good vibe in it and some "surprise" moments I love. This was basically where one brain cell met an other one and I came up with the first idea for "The Gangsta". I designed the script to be like a old fashioned love story between a Gangster Girl and her Gangster.

Important for me was to give her a "soul" and a beliveable attitude. She is not like a girl you could replace with any other random blonde guccy / prada girly. She has this specific charme in her movements. Being hot,sexy lovely but just one blink later you stare into the barrel of her golden gun.

The mocap sessions were more complex than I thought and it took several attempts to get it right. I mean, jesus I had to jump on the ground between her legs....wtf I was thinking?! And this done in VaM....what a great test for the new recording method anyway haha. Chrizzy made a fantastic job like always while I think I could have moved better but yeah, somehow I feel always a bit "off" in the MoCap so I do my best. Thanks to the new recording setup there was surprisingly a lot less of post edit to do according the core movement frames. However I was happy just for about a few hours until I realized I need to puzzle all the records together plus animate fingers and more things I wanted to have like for example the bat or the guns. Overall the complete show is worth ~50 hours of work (including MoCap).

While working on "The Gangsta" I realized that what I do and really LOVE is pretty much a niche. I always felt "under pressure" working on something to incorporate "sex+show" and sometimes I didn't even feel like it was right to do so. Why the heck for example in an other scene of us does she need to give him the head after she was singing and dancing about having a hard time in the relationship?!

So why I need to feel bad after I created a fantastic experience....just because there is no sex? And really I felt bad at times. I see much more likes for explicit content we do than for any other show. Maybe because this is the nature of an adult simulation haha.

So I am also very thankful to POGVR (pogdaddy) he finally convinced me to try out something new with our C&G-NAKED brand. Basically everything you would consider as biggest points of critics is eliminated there. The scenes are leightweights, full of erotic, replaceable, adjustable, and easy to use. Since they are that easy to create compared to any show we do we will create a freaking TON of them. This gives me time and my confidence again to create fantastic shows like I want to without any bad conscience I could miss the "sex" part, or it might be not sexy enough.
