Booty - Shake Dance Volume 2 RELEASED! We really hope you enjoy it! Please read "contend" info and the "techical information" so you get to know everything you need to know about this release.

Chrizzy had a lot of fun with this one but also she is just happy everything worked pretty fast like we wanted to. We started a second record with this one a few days ago with a room temperature about 37°C (98°F). She went all the way through hell with the Vive on her head and the trackers on her hip and feet hahahaha. But we think it was worth it.

Stay tune and have a great time!

Gato

Great job again 👍🏻 love it. Love that shiny see-through dress. And the reflective floor adds a nice touch and effect. By the way I find that the animation is still not keeping up with music, so when music ends, she still dances for a good few seconds before stopping, so my hardware is obviously still not good enough. Can I ask you what hardware you are using, I mean CPU/GPU, to do your dances? I am using a GTX 1070 together with latest Ryzen 3900X and find in for example this dance I get around 40FPS only on Oculus Rift CV1 according to VAM performance monitor. Maybe I need a 1080 or 1080 Ti minimum? 🤔

Hey there. Nice to hear you like it! VaM is well known as CPU eating I guess. At least thats what I've heard. But the real bottleneck in that case is Unity in wich VaM has been programmed. It uses way to much recources out of the CPU. Meshed is working on it and will make big improvements with VaM 2.0. At least thats what I understood. But for now...yeah its pretty difficult. We run our VaM studio with the Vive and a GTX 1080ti OC active. With a Intel i7 8700k and some firepower from 4 vegence RAM blocks we try our best to perform the MoCaps. But....to be honest. Its way not enough. There is so much more potential eg in multiple person dances. Just a little bit more trouble shooting for you. Try to disable the mirrors first. They really eat up CPU power. That should help. If not, than try to reduces the render scale too :) Gato

Thanks for reply. Yes I think I will have to upgrade to 1080Ti or better soon, but I think the 20x0 series is too expensive for something we can’t use yet (raytracing). Yes I know all about trying to increase my framerate by changing down to High setting, disabling mirrors if they are there, and turning physics down to 45fps. I also found actually today that turning off asynchronous timewarp in Oculus increases the framerate and makes better image too. Can’t wait for better Unity and VAM2 improvements!

I was having the same issue and I found that it was the Physics Rate being set to Auto was the problem for me. I set it to 45 HZ and it works great now (Open Main UI>User Preferenced>Physics Rate>45HZ). I would also check out the link below for tips on getting better fps. https://www.reddit.com/r/VAMscenes/comments/d2dort/frame_rate_tips_and_tricks_thread/

This one is awesome, too, but nothing tops Booty Shake #4 (yet). I love these two dances so much, the high energy, the simple stage, the great lighting. Please, please, PLEASE make more like these two! Chrizzy's twerking is top-notch.
