Hello, this is namakxin. I wish everyone a Happy New Year. Many of you may be curious about the reasons for my break. Since ending my series in December and taking this break until now, I have been carefully considering my future approach to artwork creation and Patreon management.

Although it's been a short time, I've been very fortunate and grateful that people have come to like what I create. I have gone through various trials and errors in trying to satisfy those who enjoy my work, always striving for a better direction.

The emergence of NovelAI has significantly changed my working method in many ways. This led me to feel the need to restructure my workload and schedule more systematically, and independently of that, I felt the need to meet the expectations of many supporters in a new direction. I've considered each aspect carefully and have somewhat concluded how to proceed. Starting from 2024, I will introduce the changes and what I will be doing step by step.

namakxin account update: Changes to the sponsorship and reward system: The reason for the change is that when I first opened Patreon, I did it by referring to others, but now I feel that's no longer necessary. I've continued to consider creating a system that's more familiar and convenient for everyone, regardless of my income. Separately, I've felt the need to set aside more systematic time for artwork production and to regularly schedule personal downtime. This is why I decided on the change.

  • Going forward, instead of charging upon sponsorship and then auto-charging on the 1st of the next month, the system will change to auto-charge on the date of sponsorship in the following month.
  • The rewards for sponsorship will no longer be given in a lump sum in the following month, but rather access to Patreon rewards will be available immediately as artworks are uploaded.
  • The rewards for the P&M Series will be available for two months. For example, artwork produced in January will be available for download to all sponsors until the end of February.
  • Therefore, if you start sponsoring at the end of February, you can obtain the artworks produced in January, February, and March. I believe that sponsoring once every three months should allow you to access all the artworks I produce.
  • The reward delivery system for the P&M Series, which was provided through messages on the 5th of every month, will be discontinued. Artworks will be linked through MEGA.

NSFW artwork & Patreon NSFW Tier addition: This too is a phase I've been testing intermittently since a month ago due to the advent of NovelAI, aiming for more stable production by sacrificing January's income for research and testing. I considered creating a sub-account but felt that it would not be very accessible, so for now, I plan to upload only on my current Patreon. The reason I considered a NSFW sub-account is that my family, relatives, friends, and acquaintances all see my personal life and namakxin the same, but I will no longer worry about those issues. However, if I upload NSFW artworks in the future, I will consider whether to upload them on my current Pixiv or Deviantart or create an additional sub-account.

  • An NSFW Tier will be added to the current Patreon. The price will be $1 per month, and I plan to specify that it's under testing. Therefore, I am thinking of adding it as a Tip concept. For the time being, I will focus on research outcomes rather than revenue expectations, and once stable production is achieved, I plan to change it to $5. Those who sponsor $1 in 2024 will continue to receive it for $1 throughout the year.
  • The current $10 Tier will remain, but a new P&M Series + NSFW Tier will be added for $10. Therefore, there will be three Tiers on Patreon, and I would appreciate it if those who want both monthly sponsorship and NSFW artworks choose the upcoming additional Tier.
  • The NSFW post that I said I would remove in January will not be removed.

Artwork volume and system changes: NSFW artwork production can take as little as 20 minutes to as much as 3 hours, so I set aside a testing period to shorten this but also felt that I needed personal downtime to work steadily. Also, even though it takes a lot of time to create the peak of Nijijourney (1 out of 1000-2000 pieces) every month, it is a personal desire. Therefore, I felt that volume control was necessary.

  • From producing 150-200 pieces of the P&M Series per month, I will not set a specific quantity for monthly artwork production going forward. However, I expect that the P&M Series will exceed 100 pieces per month as a minimum estimate.
  • As a principle, I plan to upload three times a week, setting aside specific times for production. I have had days when I ruined my health trying to force what couldn't be done. I apologize to those who expected a large quantity.
  • For NSFW artworks, I plan to start with about 10 pieces per month, but promise to gradually increase the volume as stable production becomes possible.

There are many tasks to do, including Patreon updates. Therefore, I've set aside a generous break schedule to update and change things one by one. The goal for my return was January 10th, but it seems like it will take a bit more time due to my ambitions. However, I plan to return in mid-January. For existing sponsors, January sponsorship was not charged, but for those who started sponsoring in January, I would appreciate it if you could send me a message if you wish for a refund. Below are the tasks I will do during my break.

  • 1. Testing stable production of NSFW artwork
  • 2. Test to see if characters that cannot be produced can be made possible using NovelAI editing
  • 3. Test for possible aesthetic changes
  • 4. Update Deviantart & Pixiv & Gumroad sites
  • 5. Test Nijijourney prompts

I feel I've reached a certain level of achievement, but AI artwork production is still unstable. Personally, unless Midjourney's Nijijourney gets updated to version 6 with a revolutionary method, I felt a desperate need to spend more time using various editing tools. I believe these changes and choices are the right direction for now, and I hope for your understanding. If you have any questions or inquiries, please send me a message or leave a comment, and I will respond. Thank you sincerely for reading, and I will do my best to satisfy you with various artworks in 2024. I wish everyone a Happy New Year.
