Tal'naya was the champion of the Kalimdor Wrestling Association circuit for quite awhile- that's not something that just happens by chance. She may not be the most technical fighter in the ring, but she's an absolute powerhouse. Nobody has been able to take her down with submissions and ground game. Whenever she's been defeated in her career, and when she ended up losing her title, it was always to an overwhelming hit just knocking her out cold.

Surely, Kara couldn't really think it was going to be this easy.

The orc was confident she was the stronger combatant. Very much literally- she was sure that no night elf could out muscle her. She absolutely did not expect Tal to, it seemed to her, simply flex her way out of a full nelson in the ropes. One moment, she had the giant elf locked in and at her mercy. The next, she felt herself getting pulled up over the ropes.

Tal'naya used the pivot Kara had forced into her back to lean forward. She pulled her feet back, locking her shoulders and pulled her arms with everything she could muster. Her contender's hold broke, and she felt herself pull free. Immediately, she turned and grabbed a hold of Kara's right arm, transferring all this momentum to her former captor.

Kara was flung reeling over Tal'naya's shoulder, slamming into the canvas. She certainly didn't expect this.

The night elf grinned as her opponent thunked into the mat.

"Not really an ambush, but close enough for you?"
