Throwback Thursday: Exiern #000 "The Story So Far" (Patreon)

Notes/Trivia: 

Although Drowemos had illustrated a version of Exiern himself for some time prior to this page, "The Story So Far" marks the beginning of Exiern's current run, making the current comic over a decade old. Every posted page stems from this moment.

Although Typh and Peonie would go on to be our main characters, it is actually Mac who we first see "in person" - although we do have a painting of Peonie in more flattering attire than what we'll next see her in.

Faden's army of "Twicemen" have been referenced numerous times throughout the comic (and are most likely the creatures that killed Olivia's father in battle) but the painting in Panel 2 is the closest we've come to seeing them - but it is most likely that the yellow-hatted men are simply the "loyal troops" mentioned by Mac.

This is the first instance of Mac's trademark "DOOM!" and his habit of annoying people with narration.

Although later shop-owners, such as Emse, would have multiple appearances, this is the only page with the "Barkeep." He'll have a slightly larger role in the planned BROADSWORD adaptation.
