Forgot to pin the last post in the series - but it wasn't concise enough anyway. You may see through the process of the previous posts that I still need several drafts to condense things down to a more manageable size. Getting there finally I hope!

Key Points about the financial situation for Exiern:

You all helped support two families (possibly 8 or even more people!) in two different countries over more than a year by contributing to funding this webcomic!

(an especially difficult last 12 months or so as we all know!)

Exiern earns around $450 US or so a month directly from all sources.

Up until now, it was costing on average about $1400 US or so a month.

Hence it's needed a lot of cross-subsidising for a long time now to keep running.

We have a reprieve for a while where the deficit for hopefully the next few months will be between $0-$200 US/month as opposed  to around $900-$1000 US in the months before.

We should definitely take advantage of that time to work on boosting revenue, cutting costs - basically anything to at least reduce the deficit and maybe even put away some money for future months.

The eventual hope is to at least get Exiern and all its connected enterprises to be able to pay for itself one day so that it's not directly dependent on any key individuals to ultimately prop it up (or as I like to call myself - 'potential point of failure' - I've had some experience in that area over the years).

Well done everyone from the artists, colourists, writers, numerous other webcomics and other creative enterprises for their support and let's not forget - you the audience!

OK, now we're taking a break from these kind of updates and getting back to the more directly related story stuff but we will have more news for you from behind the scenes soon.

But not too soon!
