Remembered we hadn't quite finished the job a few months ago but it should be done now (just spent the last few hours uploading the remaining Filler Pages and Chapter 29). Please let us know if you spot anything we've missed.

Since the transfer to archive.exiern.com and then to the present location Exiern is stored, all up I've probably spent several days all up with Scott having to reupload the images, this is about the third time we've done this now.

Not looking forward to the next time I have to do this. We've been getting help from other creators and Dave Barrack from Grrl Power did have a look at our site and pointed out that the pages can take a long time to load.

It is definitely true that the file sizes for the images on different pages can vary wildly for no particular reason, from well under 500 KB to several megabytes. It seems to have no bearing on how the pages actually look either in terms of resolution either.

As in, with the rebooted pages we're currently running, the process includes sending the finished pages and the preview image (which are somehow several MB) to Sean Harrington who runs them through Photoshop, resaves them and then sends them back to us now only a few hundred KB. before we put them up on the site. Strangely, they don't  look any different.

There's presently a number of images over 1 MB to well over that but fortunately it might be under a couple of hundred of the thousand plus currently there, so I won't have to replace them all again (... yay).

Anyway, that's what I'm next planning to do on my upcoming days off after getting my own copy of Photoshop (yet more potential Exiern related expenses) so on top of letting us know if there's still any images on pages missing that need to still be replaced, what's everyone's experiences with load times on the site?
