Penny's Journal: Shisune (Patreon)

So as fun as OwO xenotypes are, I wanted to give a little "bite" to the Shisune narrative by giving them a bit of an eco-extremist angle. I think that a really compelling part of Rimworld is its prevalence of tribes in a (relatively) space-age setting. I feel like it's a relatively under-developed intersection in the game - like, how do these tribes reconcile the technology around them? Why do they seemingly reject the "modernity" of weapons and armor from spacer tech? Because of this, I wanted to pull from real-world examples of more isolated peoples who choose to remain separated from larger societies. From the descriptions around the Shisune, I feel like they are a natural fit for this dynamic.
