  Alright, lately I been messing around with this DF "Star Dwarves"mod where you can actually play in space and I *think* it'd be fairly easy to fit it into the Hero of Balance story. I just think it'd be neat if Bim took the quest for balance to the stars and had to balance the UNIVERSE. 

I dunno, what do you guys think?

I think it could be interesting... As its own series. I love the (sometimes silly but) strong coherence and character of the series, as is now, in its medieval fantasy incarnation. When it ends, you can just start a new incarnation of Bim in Space, as theEternal Hero of the Multiverse.

While that picture is perhaps the most amazing thing I've ever seen, I don't think this is necessarily a "fairly easy" extension to the story. From my experience, lots of people are pretty sensitive about mixing "classic" fantasy themes with "classic" sci fi themes, especially if it wasn't made clear ahead of time that that would be coming. Instead of the show suddenly shifting tone, why not make it a kind of spin off show? Maybe when the "original" series comes to an end. I think that would please everybody.
