Still enjoying it! Had wayyy too much fun drawing the little items in this episode. The little cheese things? The scroll? The laptop? Friggin love it. Also been pretty fun drawing the different martians and their clothing.

Aesthetically, Bleb the trader is my favorite character in anything i've done.

I'm liking the Japanese mask aesthetic in this series, I used to collect those masks, I should get back into it. Have you seen the art of Beksinski? A little inspiration from him would go well with this series. Wayne Barlowe would be a good source of inspiration too. Heavy Light, The Art of De Es would be a good source for you too in this series, maybe dwarf fortress in general. You said you already take inspiration from Dougal Dixon yeah?

You can get masks on Ebay for pretty cheap. If you like Japanese Noh masks you should also look into Balinese masks, they have about the same feel though the Balinese masks are more elaborate while Japanese Noh masks are more simple at first glance. As they're intended for Noh theater they are designed to give an optical illusion of a changing expression depending on what angle the mask is facing, it's really interesting stuff. But yeah I find the Balinese masks to be most similar to the Japanese Hannya mask in design.
