(pic-backyard view from a couple weeks ago)

Whew, the last time I posted here was on the 12th? I think thats the longest i've gone without posting anything here for you beautiful bastards. Sorry for the radio silence, but I really tried to take this last off-week off for real and just kinda ended up rolling forward into the work.

Anywho, regarding the videos, the next Watchful Eyes episode is on track to be done by Thursday. but since Murderhall i've been doing some big thinking about the channel and a more manageable format as well as how to implement it and so after this episode we'll be trying some new things.

From now on, there will be no more off-weeks. Frankly i've really hated doing that. It makes the upload schedule too irregular for my liking and makes my life feel too bumpy. What I will be doing is posting an experimental video every other week from now on until The Watchful Eyes is over at which point I hope to have a better idea of what a more manageable work schedule should look like.

The idea with these experimental videos is to really limit myself in how much time I can put into them. Having no restraints in my work time is a big problem, but maybe if I can just set some firm limits, it'll help with the process. That being said, I don't know what a "limited" video can look like. As we've seen with Murderhall, I can record a rushed 20 minutes in a day and get by with minimal music and some sloppy editing. I figure I can do that at least alongside some decent editing/music and a Monsterkiller/Honeystoker level of pictures.

This is going to be different, but i've gotten a lot of good feedback from you guys and from folks on Youtube (though you guys are clearly better) I'm sure it'll end up working out and as always, I appreciate your support, patience, enthusiasm and inspiration, you bearded bastards.

I know some people have had success by treating things like this as if they were a day job. 9-5, 5 days a week, with the work in a separate room or part of the house. I know from experience that the creative urge can be overwhelming, but I also know from experience that "turning that urge into some hasty notes that can be acted on later" works just as well when it comes to getting things done.

One thought that I had upon watching the last video of Murderhall was that maybe you could switch back and forth between series that feature your artwork and series that feature fan artwork, because that seemed to be working pretty well during Murderhall! Just a thought I had. I really appreciate all the work you do for us to enjoy and I'm sorry to hear that you are starting to get overworked, we don't want that! I'm sure that all of us support whatever decision you make about your work schedule, and look forward to hearing what you have planned for the future! Take care Kruggsmash!!
