Ch5 dev blog 09/15/2024 (Patreon)

This week I've been busy working on Episode Mika, but also have been adding some nice goodies into the game as well.

First up, I added some animated reactions from girls to make the art feel less static. I won't use this all the time but it is nice to emphasize things.

When I was working on the bounce effect, I realized it also works really well for muscle growth transition scenes.

Both effects will be demonstrated very effectively in Episode Mika.

I really pulled out long hours to get it done in record time so I can get back to working on the main game. But episode Mika has so much love and passion poured into it, I really hope you will enjoy it. It's twice as long as Episode Ayane, and took me 25 min to play through.

Other updates to the game:

Kasumi will use the serum daily and have a new sprite set. Kasumi is different from every other girl in that she doesn't personally use the serum to achieve her goals, she uses girls who use the serum. Every other girl has some sort of complex or personal reason for liking the serum.

• Saya loves the serum for the competitive edge,

• Yuka loves the serum for the cognitive enhancements - energy boost,

• Manami loves the serum because she otherwise is very shy,

• Kaori loves the serum because it helps her grow tall and sexy (opposed to being a shorty brat)

• Haruka loves the serum because it helps her feel safe,

• Miyu loves the serum because she can walk,

• Naomi loves the serum because she can pursue her wrestling dream,

• Hino loves the serum because she desires to be superior to others (and hates seeing the other girls on the serum!)

But Kasumi doesn't have a personal reason for using the serum. She's already intimidating and dangerous. So narratively in chapter 5 am exploring the reasons why Kasumi might reconsider using it daily.

Whatever befalls Kasumi (don't want to spoil it here!), we're the winners because she gets s new sprite set!

Here are 4 of her 7 new sprites. I decided to keep the tie, despite a hotly debate in the super supporter discord channel. Thank you for voicing your thoughts. The idea was that the tie would look stuffy on her if she's bulked up, but she is also a woman of class. Others said a tie is a masculine way of dressing, and therefore she doesn't need to appear more masculine now that she's enhanced.

When she grows more, the tie will pop off anyway so we all win!

Teachers! I made a small discussion about adding teachers before in the discord, it's happening now.

These images are not final- they still need some fixing in photoshop. These are the AI outputs after numerous iterations.

The new classes will be similar to Mrs Jiro. A chance to get some bonus skill points and some banter from the girls.

I am debating if I should add them retroactively to previous days or only have them come in from october (ch5 start). I will start a discussion about this in the super supporter discord chat.
