I don’t know much about the world between worlds but my personal interpretation was that that was literally Anakin, coming to right some false teachings he had instilled in his Padawan during the clone wars. Purely focusing on fighting even justified battles led Anakin to the dark side, and perhaps after his redemption and time meditating as a force ghost Anakin knew he had to correct the mistakes he had made in teaching Ashoka during wartime, so she could reconnect with her feelings in the current day. Maybe he even gave her the choice to choose life and spare him or destroy his presence in the force forever. Tbh all I could think of when he said to choose life was this scene starring Obi-Wan! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Naf_WiEb9Qs&t=58s

This is the first time we really see a redeemed Anakin Skywalker apart from his Ghost appearance in ROTJ! He is very much coming off like The Father in the Mortis arc. "Letting go of guilt" (the misplaced kind) and all that. Also, it's interesting that they made it vague enough where you can't tell if Ahsoka was in the water the whole time while spiritually in the WBW or if she was physically there until Anakin let her go.

What I'm MOST interested in is if Filoni is sticking to George Lucas' definition of 'Balance in the Force' or if he is using what was shown in the EU material? Lucas talked about the Balance being about not being the end of the Dark but rather an end to committed USERS of the Dark. The EU has it where the Balance is about having a balance of users from both sides or even individuals who use both. (The planet Tython in the EU is the prime example). In short, Lucas: ABSENCE of the Dark; EU: ACCEPTANCE of the Dark. You can't really tell yet which one Filoni is showcasing here. Anakin is shown going back in forth between the Light and Dark, but with him being The Chosen One (and dead) maybe he is an exception to the rule? I can see Filoni doing it either way, but considering how integral Anakin, The Chosen One prophecy, and the Mortis family are to Lucas' Star Wars, I doubt he would stray so far from what Lucas originally wanted. What do you guys think?
