I’m team Rhaenyra, all the way. Excellent reaction. My reaction to the this episode was similar. I think the new actors are doing a fantastic job. I was worried that it was going to feel like a whole new show and I wouldn’t feel as invested but that didn’t happen. I understand why Alicent is acting the way she is but I don’t like it and I don’t like her. She is working against Rhaenyra out of fear. I’m sure she hasn’t sat down with Rhaenyra in the last 10 years to try to work anything out, so she’s just running with the information that Otto left her with. Which is that “Rhaenyra Will kill your and your children as soon as Viserys is dead.” I think the best thing Rhaenyra and Laenor can do is hole up at Dragonstone. They will be much safer, especially if Otto is coming back. As soon as he is reinstated as Hand, I suspect that it’s going to turn into Wormtongue/Theoden situation and he will start poisoning the king’s mind. Since Viserys is so weak and sick. I really hated that they killed Laena off so soon. But she did not want to die in childbirth. She wanted to die a Dragon rider’s death. It was so sad because Vhagar did not want to dracarys her. 😭😭I wonder who will ride her next, if anyone.

It's the hallmark of excellent writing really, while i don't necessarily agree with it, i understand *why* the characters are acting the way they are

Well Hello There (tm)! I’ve gotta say I’m amazed at the rate you’ve been putting out content while in the midst of becoming a parent! I’ve even gotten behind on shows without having a newborn, but I guess we’re both running the same late capitalist hamster wheel o productivity regardless! I’ve been loving the long narrative of this series and it’s associated time jumps, it feels like it’s telling a realistic story of dynastic strife and the politics of marriage, with a few magical intelligent flying lizards thrown in for some razzle dazzle! Much well wishes to your young family, and on to Andor with El Papa Major for me!
