I thought of you when I watched and was concerned. It's a fabulous new start for the GoT universe so I would recommend a watch but DEFINITELY skip those particular scenes. ❤️❤️

Your words on how you felt going into this new series hits exactly the same mark I found myself on. I was wary, very much hesitant to let myself possibly get hurt again. And this comment is coming just at the start of watching your reaction, so I haven't seen the full thing yet, but for my part I was greatly entertained and while I do have some nitpicks about some parts of it, overall I came out with a positive outlook for this series and I'm looking forward to the rest!

What a delightful scene to witness on the eve of fatherhood! I also carry the weariness of re-entering this world. I think my disgust at season 8 was even stronger than yours, and it’s entirely unrewatchable because so many of the plot lines go absolutely no where, sometimes even just jettisoning them entirely (anyone remember that veiled lady that was telling Daenerys about that grand conspiracy…?) But other than that bit about the prophecy of the long night, where we know that world ending evil threat is resolved with a tomboy Stark poking frozen zombie Hitler in the tummy… I think it’s still got a bit of that lovely asoiaf nostalgia! ps nothing makes more sense than an inbred character for Matt smiths weirdy claymation face. pps AGCAB, all golden cloaks are bastards!
