Feels like they’re getting into the Satanic Panic of the late 80’s, when sensationalist media and gullible law enforcement had everyone thinking there was a network of daycare workers/ satanists that were abusing children in rituals involving animal sacrifice and sexual abuse, real cheesy tabloid garbage, but it really was an excuse to attack the marginalized groups like the heavy metal heads and the nerds and the burgeoning hip hop culture as inhuman enemies to the nuclear family, although in my opinion 80’s counter-culture was completely unable to counteract the vicious corporate raider capitalism and reality tv Presidentalism of the Reagan administration. Damn that was a long sentence… Oh and that one particular orderly you mentioned as potentially being Number 1 seems to always be around when the borders of reality fade and past and present seem to be interchangeable. He also seems to be giving 11 advice on how to break the constraints of the experiment she’s a subject of, an experiment involving the opening of a gate to the upside down… and I could swear I could hear the faint ticking of a grandfather clock in some of his scenes…
