I’m one of those who watched the whole second season in one day. Personally I liked it, my final feeling was like they wanted to tell me like "We built this season to get to this point, the real show starts next season", maybe that's why I'm excited. You said you won't see next season, but you know the story, so I wanted to ask you if the lord Rience and Lydia were talking to is a character we've seen before this season or if he's a new character. You have finished the season and i thank you for this. Even if you didn't appreciate it, you did it as "professionally" as possible. Well done!

Phew, this series was a doozy. I can understand Kat’s frustration with an adaptation fucking with a beloved story. I’m unfamiliar with the Witcher lore so Kats expertise really helped me understand and enjoy season 1, but this season left me feeling extremely confused. Too many “Who the fuck? Where the fuck? Why the fuck?…Redonians…Greedo? When will we see the MILF’s these guys are guarding” questions threw me off from enjoying the plot lines. Also the high fantasy setting might be enjoyable in novel and video game format just seems corny in a live action series. Like, spending four hours doing hair and makeup before squeezing into a skin tight ball gown seem like appropriate preparations for battle? That coupled with Jaskiers “edgy Broadway style music for suburban wine moms” was always a turn off for me. While I might be interested in reading the original novels, I’ll be very happy to see you guys react to some other content instead of season 3.

Thank you very much for tagging along ❤️ If they stick with the books, then yes - you have been introduced to the character at this point ☺️

Wellll.... of course I will recommend you reading the books because they are my favourite, but only if you are able/want to. (Personally I do not have the attention span to read books...) Kat

Update: got a cop of “The Last Wish” this morning an am now about a third of the way through. Sooo much more enjoyable in novel form

I know it’s the second book out but I gave it a goog and everyone recommends reading it first.

Absolutely, now you are introduced to a lot of characters. However, Sword of Destiny is defintely my favourite of them. What I meant with the previous comment was just that well... I told you (plural) so 😂

I didn’t doubt you! Currently halfway through but taking a break for today is the day of publicly condoned alcoholism!

I loved your entire Witcher series review very much. Especially, I enjoyed learning from Kat's critical remarks and snippets because I haven't read the books but I enjoyed the video games and the Netflix series. So far, I can say, I am a big Witcher follower but limited to the games and TV show. I agree that it pains to see your beloved novel series turned into a different show. As a Harry Potter fan, I would be pretty pissed if the movies were straying away from the core story. By now, you might have already heard that Henry Cavill has quit the show for the very same reason you quit the show. He is a loyal fan of the Witcher Lore and the video game franchise. However, since he's doing the season 3, maybe, hopefully, we might get to see the Wild Hunt. Henry would definitely fight to keep at least something from the original source. I trust him! I will quit the show myself after the 3rd season. Having said that, the only reason I'm here as one of your patrons is because I am very much in love with the Witcher Lore and I can't muster the effort to read the book, but love the show. I stumbled upon your channel on YouTube while searching for actual Witcher fans' review of the TV Show. I am glad I found both of you and enjoyed learning the differences from the book. The 3rd season is releasing in few months and I sincerely hope that one day, both of you might have a change of heart and choose to come back for one last season. Then we all are quitting the show anyway. Until then, I will keep checking your Patreon feeds with a hope to see The Witcher, Season 3. Thank you and wish you both a very beautiful new year. Stay healthy and cheers!! 😊

Update: Season 3 would be close one-to-one adaptation of the Time of Contempt book. I hope that is enough to bring both of you back for one last season.
