I definitely cried watching this episode lol like you said the voice acting is amazing and gut wrenching, imo japanese voice actors are in a league of their own and AOT is blessed with a cast full of many talented people! story wise, the decision that had to be made felt impossible for me, I'm biased towards erwin because he is my favorite character but it's a tough choice to make (it sparks debate amongst fans to this day!) and I feel sorry for levi, I wouldn't like to be in his shoes, it's hard to let go of someone you care about even when you know their burden is too heavy and they deserve to be at peace :( about bertholdt, I honestly admire people who feel sympathy for him on their first watch because I felt nothing, in this situation it was either kill or be killed and he basically cornered the scouts into doing this to survive so... yeah :/ I thought it was sad that he called for annie and reiner tho, he was just a kid after all. can't wait to see your reaction to the upcoming events, and i second the suggestion of having a pen and paper ready haha :D

now its safe to watch the intro (if u want to obviously ) 😅 you'll realize why it's so spoilery hehe , damn this episode hurts and it always makes me cry ,the voice acting its ,so good , personally i love yuki kaji (eren's VA )♡ in this episode ,he always makes a great job ,anyway i can't wait for the next reviews and also i hope you guys get some rest too if u feel the need ~

i think berthold just lost some of his memories because of his severe injuries like Reiner, and when he saw the scouts he maybe thought for a second that they are still his "fellow scouts" before they revealed themselves.

I don't think he necessarily lost memories. I think he was just not awake enough to read the situation. he just instinctively feels that "I'm in danger and my friends are there" so he called out for help. but later on he remembered they are not friends anymore that's why he called Annie and Reiner for help. all of which are just sad to me because deep down Bert just considered all of them as friends that have spent years together

Can I say something that has nothing to do with the episode?. Sonny remainds me of Joshua Jackson from Dawson's creek or Fringe, I don't know, I think they look alike. :D

This episode is heart-wrenching but honestly one of the best episodes of AOT out there (along with the previous episode). I do think choosing Armin was the right choice but losing Erwin hurts so much 😭 Also congrats on the tiny human!!
