mikasa being so hellbent on protecting eren comes from the fact that she internalizes words that represent trauma (if you don't fight, you can't win) into her identity because broken as she is, she hasn’t yet found her own purpose, just like you pointed out. her journey is one of agency, self-worth, and finding meaning. i can't wait for you guys to continue the series and hear about your thoughts on the story as a whole <3

i hate how some people see mikasa as she doesn't have a personality or that she doesn't care about anyone else but eren (when in fact she has proved that its not the case ) it just proofs that some people don't understand these characters at all, But I'm glad that you guys understood the purpose of the ova

I hope we weren’t too rough on her then, because we do think her journey has been very “Eren centric” so far. But there’s definitely more to the character, that’s for sure, and yes we really enjoyed the deep dive into her mind in this OVA.

There's something about these OVAs that make me appreciate the show a bit more, like nothing much is going on, they slow it down, delve into the character and bring a sense of "peace" (for lack of better words lol) in me when I watch them...and i can say the same to the last 3 episodes of S3 part 1 that you guys finished. They don't get me hype or sad and it's hard for me to articulate but anyway good discussion as usual, glad that I joined yall patreon :)

Not at all becuase its understandble to feel that way about her ,sadly her characther to simple view ,it gives that impression, since most of the time when she gets the spolight she's talking about eren etc :/ but im really glad that u guys are not in that bandwagon of hate on mikasa like a lot of people that watch this show do,there's a lot of times in the manga and anime that we can see her doing more for others and herself ,as audience we just have to pay attention to it ~ ^-^

I had pre eclampsia just last month and was lucky that I went to the hospital in time. It's a disorder that happens when the body starts rejecting the placenta and he blood pressure also gets super high. My doctor didn't recognize it so I went without treatment until I almost died. But I was lucky in the end and my baby also survived <3 We are fine now
