Also, Armin's plan worked because the flashback he has makes you understand that Armin noticed Berthold's feelings for Annie (As it was pinpointed by Reiner some episodes ago). So Armin did give up his "humanity" in a sense, because he used the secret feelings of Berthold, knowing it would hurt him

finally got time to watch the video // I honestly love the stuff you guys picking up here ,especially thank u kat for paying attention to the part of the 104th squad talking to bertholdt and reiner ,its honestly one of most heartbreaking parts of this episode and very important to kind of understand these characthers , most of other youtubers that watch this show dont pay attention at all or dont even try think about those kind of scenes ~ your reviews/theories are amazing

Just finished watching your discussion. I really like how you're analyzing Bertholdt's response to the scouts. Really interesting insight, especially when you mentioned seeing him as someone who has potentially been abused. I remember back when these episodes first came out a lot of people (me included) saw them as traitors- nothing more, nothing less. I love the more empathetic approach that you're taking. As I've matured with this series, that is an approach that I tend to lean towards now.
