It's time for a little boot camp action! Eren and the others have to train extremely hard to prepare for a time when they go up against the Titans. We get to meet a bunch of new characters, and there was certainly also a fair bit of quirky fun going on throughout the episode. It's going to be exciting to see what happens next!

Alright well I’m all caught up on my first anime series in a looong time. I watched toonami as a kid and of course Miyazaki’s films, but a lot of the tropes of anime just turn me off. The quivering eyes, the endless shouting, the “EHH?”s and “AHH!”s, but ultimately there’s some nostalgia as well. I’ll keep watching and letting the characters grow on me, the lore seems interesting as well. My only criticism so far is that the expository writing is abysmal. The maxim is “show, don’t tell” but AoT seems to go by “show AND tell, in explicit detail”. Not sure if that’s an issue in anime in general or if it’s specific to this series. Anyhoozles, my take on Erens faulty equipment was that Creepy McJealousguy sabotaged it to get Eren to quit, so then that sweet sociopath Mikasa would be all his.
