We finally made it to the end of Book 3, and it turned out to be kind of bitter sweet, especially for Korra. It's going to be really interesting to see what lies ahead, and we most certainly agree with what many of you told us - this season was simply excellent from start to finish!

You said two things in the discussion that you need to remember after the end of Book 4 lol. You both are so smart! I need to remind myself to reference what you both said here in a few months lol. You both are gonna LOVE Korra's story in season 4... I think it's really important to notice why Korra cries at the end here. Seeing everyone around her being able to go out and do her job for her with most likely no issue, when she can't do anything, is pretty powerful. A lot of people don't get why, so I'm glad you guys hit the nail on the head. Oh also! Im not sure if you use subtitles, but please disable them for Season 4 episode 2!

Yes, Korra is very physical. Interacts with the world largely through her body. So losing bodily function enough to require a wheel chair is quite the blow. Then much of her story has been about her strive for independence and recognition after a sheltered upbringing (and comparing herself to past Avatars); it must hurt to have that journey cut short like this and to become to dependent again.

Tearbending confirmed😭. The final sequence with Jinora gettin anointed as an Airbending Master, compounded with the emotions of Avatar Korra, topped with that incredible score makes ne cry erry single time. Book 3 of Korra is fantastic storytelling, I luv it immensely. Great reaction y'all

Interesting thing about Zaheer is that he's all about freedom, but he imprisons Iwe for all of eternity, imprisons Mako and Bolin, imprisons the airbenders, and imprisons Korra. Both times he fights Korra, she's in chains. This was pointed out in a great video about Korra by Just Write, but it contains spoilers for season four. Basically, Zaheer, like Amon, is so dedicated to his ideology that he ends up betraying its underlying purpose, and his tendency to take peoples physical freedom away is a visual representation of this hypocrisy.

Yes! I too love when shows/entertainment aren’t afraid to explore deeper and darker themes when presenting us with these stories. Delving into the many layers of the human experience has always been a huge draw for me when watching different tv shows and movies. Many of the shows that I have connected with over the years have had strong elements of this and I’m glad to see it in Korra as well. Looking forward to book 4! 😊
