Hi friends, I know this is a bit late, but better late than never..
A few people have been requesting I made a video about Danish Christmas traditions, so I sat down and tried to think very hard of the most celebrated traditions that involve Christmas here in Denmark (a lot of traditions around food ofc).
I thought some of you Patrons might enjoy a bit of an insight into Denmark and Danish culture, so here I am, sharing my video with you guys.

Feel free to watch it, hit the like button and maybe share some of your traditions in the comments as well, I love to hear it!

Merry belated Christmas, thank you for being awesome and support Sonny's (and my) endeavours for the last year. It has been crazy but you have been there for us, and for that you have our deepest gratitude.

See you soon babes!

Danish Christmas traditions

Danes may not be very traditional when it comes down to it, but the traditions around Christmas is basically sacred to most Danes. So I talk about some of the main Christmas traditions of the Danish heritage (a huge part of that is food - of course 😉) I am a bit late, but should you be interested in a bit of Danish culture, here it is.

Hi Kat, that was lovely! It sounds like Danish Christmas traditions are so festive! I’m in the US and some are familiar to me, being Catholic, so the Advent calendar, Advent wreath with candles are celebrated in my household too. Santa Lucia is not too familiar here, although I have heard of the tradition and I love the song by Pavarotti! I’ve never heard of the rice pudding for Christmas but I like almonds and rice pudding so I will look it up and maybe make some. Funny, how you mention that presents are opened on Christmas Eve. We opened our gifts on Christmas Eve too, as that’s something my father did as a child, although his ancestry is British. The food sounds delicious! I love remoulade sauce. It’s very popular in the state of Louisiana, served with seafood. I’ve had pfeffernuse cookies from Germany, which sounds similar to your pepper cookies. Once this crazy COVID is over, I hope to one day visit Europe for Christmas as I love the traditions they preserve there. Thank you for sharing your Christmas traditions and I wish you, Sonny, and Major Dad a very Merry and joyful Christmas! 🎄🙏🏼❤️⛄️ PS: I’m a Lord of the Rings Christmas watcher too! 😁
