Now that's how you do a season finale! Amazing storytelling with twists and turns, and then a great setup for season 2! We can't wait to continue the journey!

Well I forgot that you learn about the faceless spirit so early. Unfortunately you never learn about the complete history of the spirit world until Korra. The one thing you can put together is that balance is a very important theme. The absence of the avatar is what is responsible for the imbalance of the world. Ang has so much to learn about life much less the elements. Soon you will see who has been trying to keep balance in the world with the absence of a fully realized Avatar.

Yue (月) means moon in Chinese while Suki means moon in Japanese!

I love your reactions + review! I have nothing but love for this show. Its my ALL TIME favorite series. Cartoon/anime and real people wise xD. Cant wait for you guys to jump into season 2. ITS SO GOOD. Even better then season 1. One thing i truly appreciate about this show is how they put real life stuff and troubles in this series. + Mythology etc. Kat already said she thinks its one of her favorite shows you guys reacted to. .. If its not gonna be in your top 3 at the end of the series i dont know what to say XD oke bye :3

Zhao says he heard the rumors about Iroh having visited the spirit world. Remember in an early episode when Aang rides the dragon spirit and no one can see them, except Iroh who looks up at the sky? :)

Hey Kat and Sonny, now that the 1st season is over, I recommend watching (maybe reacting too who knows) to this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXu2F8Ks4kE it is "Avatar: Creating the Legend" and it is a brief interview (the whole thing has 4min) with the Martial Arts consultant that helped create the different bending styles. Really cool to see!

When zhao killed the moon spirit, the ocean spirit connected to aang and used him as a host to attack the fire nation as it was upset. When it looked up to see the moon had returned the ocean spirit left aang and took zhao

When you look back over the course of Book One to the beginning and think about how it presented itself as an interesting yet fun kid's show like you'd expect to find on Nickelodeon. But by the end of the first season you realize, with all of the themes that get introduced, this isn't a kid's show. I mean it is. In fact it's a great one for kids. But it's waaayy more than that to.

Awesome reaction, thank you both! Yep, Koh still freaks me out! Lol! Gosh, Book 1's finale is a masterpiece! The way everything but Yue's eyes, Aang's Avatar state glow and the firebending goes gray is so beautiful.
