Any great series requires a great villain. Can we please give a shout out to Anthony Starr whose portrayal of Homelander completely stole the show? The character in the comics is nowhere near as nuanced as the one portrayed here. The way he switches from deep sincerity to a complete psychopath on a switch is just frightening. Also there's gotta be some appreciation of the physics involved here. Technically speaking he was right, there was nothing for him to "lift" to for the mass of the plane and the velocity it was going at, had he tried he would have punched right through the hull.

Just regarding your comment about "The Female" not killing Frenchie; I did not see it has him holding her back, I saw it most as her hesitating just long enough for the gas to kick in. I think perhaps his empathy was just enough for her hold back a bit.

The title is from a poem from Kipling that says: "The female of the species is more deadly than the male"
