I haven't been able to address all the feedback or things that were missing from the first build yet, but here are the bigger updates:

  • It has chapters 3 and 4 now. This adds some new stage gimmicks, special attacks are more important, and enemies should start to get harder so you'll need more upgrades
  • It has music now!
  • There's a second control scheme. You can use WASD instead of the arrows to move and JKL instead of ZXC to Attack, Steal, and use Special
  • There's a third control scheme! If you have a gamepad connected, you can use the Dpad to move and Square/Cross/Circle (Playstation) or XAB (Xbox) to Attack, Steal, and use Special. In menus, you can use the Dpad to move the "cursor" around to replace the mouse
  • You can turn off the gamepad icons and cursor in the Options menu, located in the Shop.
  • You can also toggle between Windowed and Full-Screen displays and Save+Quit in Options. 
  • Some changes to values here and there for items, enemies, and the sort
  • There's more feedback as you steal things- The spinner increases in speed as the timer works in the background, so you can see if go faster as you buy upgrades and it will be spinning really fast just before you complete stealing
  • Redid the art on the punching robot so it's more blocky and it's clear that it takes up two rows
  • Fixed some typos
  • Fixed the layer sorting issue with most objects when something new spawns
  • Fixed the bug with not being able to change rows if you jammed yourself into a wall

Lux isn't the only thief in town. If you let the enemy thieves get to the loot first, they'll steal it. If you can manage to beat the thief before it escapes, it will drop a lesser item so you get at least something.


And a very robotic but very bad boy.
