Holiday break is coming up at work, so I thought it would be fun to a short story/community event. I'll post a setup, you pick what happens next, and I'll do an illustration. Then we repeat!

Our setup:

A reporter makes his way to a small rural town. There have been reports of strange lights in the sky and missing people. While interviewing a farmer, the reporter finds out that gooey female alien creatures appeared in town. Sure some people go missing and there are more of the aliens every week, but they pay their rent on time, support the local economy, and are easy on the eyes. The reporter sets off to find out more...

Post what follows next in the comments and I'll pick the one that's the most fun.

If you don't want to come up with a follow-up of your own, just leave a comment on somebody else's and I'll give weight to the ones that have make more comments.

Deadline 1 is the 19th, Saturday night!

LIvestock has also been disappearing recently and now there are cute animal girls appearing.

DarkZamiel

while interviewing the slime girl about the disappearances they both get abducted by another group of aliens via transporter for seasonal labour. A transporter malfunction occurs as it was only meant to teleport one species at a time. As time goes the reporter also turns into a slime girl and uses new abilities to travel through vents and other places a solid being could not reach to save everyone on the ship.

When the reporter goes to double check the information with another farmer, the first farmer is suddenly behind him and knocks him out. Turns out the farmers were the aliens in disguise! They have either the whole town goo swapped already or he was very unlucky to talk to the two farmers who were disguised.
