The satisfaction of a job well done and knowing that if this lad does wake up and decide to be a bride of evil, you're sure he'll figure out how contacting you works. He's probably just scurrying off to tell his friends how awesome the past days were.

So why start the series with a (mostly) successful mission when the fun is in the missions going wrong? I really wanted to get across that this series isn't just going to be Mercynaries with Mercy and Ruth swapped out for Willow and Maw. Will and Maw have different backgrounds, they know different people, and they'll approach things from a more knowing angle. Will doesn't have an arm-thing to solve her problems but she does know people in high places and has a few trinkets of her own.

So now on to the missions going wrong the right way!
