Chapter 2: A New Life

The scene shifts to a new day. Blue and Rico are hanging out in one of the facility's break rooms, sitting at a table, eating what appears to be cereal. The room is bright and white but not quite as oppressively so as the reception area. Rico is in his costume, while Blue wears what amounts to an undershirt and pajama pants, sitting cross-legged on a chair. She's not a formal person.

The two sit close to each other on the same side of the table as Blue shows Rico the Galactic Standard version of TV/the Internet on her display. The interface is smooth and almost holographic, intuiting the user's actions rather than having buttons or UI. It seems to actually work well as she flicks through different channels/sites. Rico tries his best to keep up and absorb the new knowledge.

A facility worker enters the break room and waves over to Rico. "You've been cleared there, Rico. Your medical records are clean, you've been registered with the Galactic Standard, and your accounts are all set up."

The worker welcomes Rico to the team and hands him a business card sized device. It's almost entirely clear save for some coloring on the edge but reacts and pulses to the touch. A headshot of Rico appears as he grips it and information flashes by as it glows slightly. Rico feels oddly proud of his new status and smiles happily at the worker.
