(NSFW) Art Test - Round 2 Submissions (Patreon)

Here's part 2 of the art tests I've organized. Several weeks ago I posted an open casting call for artists to help out with the next game (visual novel) since it's going to be lots of work and we want to try and have it out early next year. Soooo that lead me to this big 'ol search for an awesome artist who could match my style and fit my specs. This is round 2's submissions. I paid them for their work and got permission to post them:

Melow has a great style and it was awesome that she left her comfort zone to try and match my style. I love the way she shaded BonBon's hair. Unfortunately though her posing is a bit stiff and it makes Bonnibel look like she's in an awkward forced pose. Also the shading is too airbrushed and soft, when I'm looking for a sharper cel-shaded style. Something seemed off in the way her face/eyes were done too... So overall, it was a good illustration but didn't match my expectations.

I love Mur's stuff!! Cassie turned out beautiful, and Mur went above and beyond with the coloring/shading. I thought it was a bit strange that she ignored my cel-shaded style and took it further down her own style's realm but it turned out OK. It might sound like contradictory but this 'more advanced' cel-shaded style would actually work nicely outside of the game. Like in website/promotional materials and hopefully bookmarks/posters. It's such a cute rendering and the character is so full of life that I decided Mur should do a few more of our girls ^-^

I'm so in love with Tonee's style!! It's what I strive for with mine, but he just does it so much better than I can XD This is obviously a NSFW submission but it's good for showing his understanding of anatomy, etc. Personally I think he nailed the look/style and I'm just waiting on seeing the final-final to pick areas where he can improve, but it's a really fantastic looking art test. I hope he wants to collaborate with me on the upcoming Visual Novel! Scenes like this would be really great for the adult version of the game...
