FYI, I am not positive on everything so I'm sure others will also clarify as I don't believe its ever directly stated in the show. The hell hierarchy has imps and hellhounds as the bottom of the chain. Hellborn in general are below sinners. Lucifer - The King of Hell and the Sin of Pride Charlie - The Princess of Hell, heir apparent to Hell's throne The Seven Deadly Sins - Demons who embody one of the seven deadly sins The Ars Goetia - Hellborn Demons with royal status, including Prince Stolas Overlords - Demons who wield considerable power Sinners - Immortal Demons who were once humans on Earth, having sinned were damned to Hell Hellborn demons - Succubi, Incubi, and other species of demons native to Hell Imps and Hellhounds - The bottom of Hell's society Demons are split in to Sinners, who are dead humans, and the Hellborn who are the native residents of hell who where born there. Like Charlie and other demon royalty the various other hellborn demons such as imps, hellhounds, succubi, etc are born in hell. Normal hellborn can be killed just like any normal person iirc while royalty are generally powerful enough that they can only be killed by angelic weapons. They can also travel between all 7 rings of hell. Sinners, are people who have died and gone to hell aka people like Alistor, Sir Pentious, Angel Dust etc. They generally have random/unique appearances that take on aspects of how they died. They can only be "permanently" killed by angelic weapons otherwise they can be maimed but they will eventually reform/recover/respawn. Sinners are also limited to the Pride Ring. The pilot is technically non-cannon now but some elements are still used. A few voice actors changed, such as Stolas and Millie, for various reasons such as not having people voice multiple characters. Some of their personalities were toned down a little as well since its not always pedal to the floor like the pilot. Also another fun fact is that with imps females always have horns with thin gray/white lines while males always have thicker stripes/lines. This can easily be seen in the difference between Moxie and Millie's horns. And while Imps and Hellhounds are the bottom of the hierarchy hellhounds are usually referred to as if they are property unlike imps iirc. Edit: Oh also Hazbin Hotel takes place in Pentagram City in the Pride Ring and our main characters at I.M.P have their HQ in Imp City which is also in the Pride Ring so that they can get assassination targets from sinners.
