Flashback #2: Seven @ the Diner (Patreon)

Apologies for the delay! I ended up having a rough time after the hospital haha but hopefully this makes up for it. This flashback scene is nearly 9k words. If there are any typos or errors, please let me know. I started writing this with the intention of this being a very Serious piece, but I think I didn't have much energy for anything emotionally taxing, so I produced...this. Hahah

Nooo, I shook my fist at the sky when the narrative immediately destroyed even a head canon of MC having already dated or had a fling with the popular character, (noticed they change gender with our choices, is Seven not pansexual?) because of course they would be skipped over by the most desired date in school for the superior Seven, MC stays giving "always the bridesmaid" energy, aww. And MC is killing me with the internal reminders that everybody thinks Seven is so hot. Especially when Seven keeps saying it too, help, lol! Their character has really surprised me the most in how they were back then, they're so cheeky, cocky and very self-complimentary, and it instantly reminded me of how Blake and G are now, with a bit of outwardly bold/shameless MC. Of course, unlike when MC does it, everyone agrees with them. 😭 Gosh, I just imagined what if MC was only hanging with Seven to get to the mom they can't have on their own? And the self-awareness when naming red flags bit is just too perfect, because MC was a willing partner in that. I would personally feel so suffocated, and don't know how MC survived that relationship or regaining their identity back from beneath Seven's shadow, and thumb, but maybe they have yet to do so.
