2024 Update! (Patreon)

Hey folks! Hope your new year is going well so far. After taking my extended holiday and before the campaign and billing resume at the end of this month, I thought I’d update folks a bit on the state of affairs here!

1. My Bigger Boyfriend

The weekly comic strip portion of the campaign continues apace. We’re moving into two new story arcs in the coming weeks … First, we’ll be visiting Ocean at his new job working alongside Pepe at the Taco Hut; and secondly, we’ll be seeing Pride helping Lance introduce some new business elements at the Lavender Lion, and how Ocean’s new status fit into their scheme. Both storylines will see old characters return and new characters introduced!

Also, since my break I’ve been working on a new schedule that includes working ahead on MBB strips with a wider lead time. That should help to prevent the occasional late Tuesday morning posts for Colossal+ tiers, and should also reduce the number of “break” weeks here and there (although I’ve already cut those down significantly since when the strip began.)

2. Coyena Comics

In February I’ll be starting production on another short Coyena story, “How I Met Your Coyena Dad.” This one will start with an anniversary dinner for parents Boreas and Aura, leading to a flashback as the siblings Zephyrus, Austeria and Eurus ask how they first got together. It’s a glance back at their time on college campus in the 80s and involves a lab accident and some unexpected growth as Boreas studies the mysterious gem he inherited from his mother.

I’m working on finalizing the story outline and starting on thumbnails for the comic now. Pages should start posting sometime in February, and I’m going to try to stick to a page-a-week schedule, similar to MBB; all patrons in the Massive tier will receive them, and Colossal tier and up will also get day-early and hi-res versions of the pages.

And everyone in the Ginormous tier will get their early peek at the outline and thumbnail layout pages as they’re being worked on, and some rough pencil pages in progress. If anyone is interested in having that behind-the-scenes access and joining the private chat to discuss stories, please feel free to upgrade to Ginormous tier!*
