End-of-Year Update #2: Early 2021 Plans (Patreon)

Hello again, my dear patrons! Tomorrow (the 31st), both the final pages of Coyena Comics: Kaiju Attack! AND the December Beef Stroganov wallpaper will be posting. So, I wanted to take a few moments to explain the direction this Patreon will take in the coming year!

I have so many comic ideas I want to work on. Kaiju Attack! was the largest project I've worked on in a long while, although it took most of the (admittedly rough) year to get through … So one of my goals in 2021 will be to speed up my process so I can get more pages and more stories done. (More patrons would help make time for that, of course, so I'll be trying to promote the campaign to more fans soon!)

For the moment, though, the truth is I’m still working on the details of which comic story I’m going go with next, and getting through the development I need to before I start working on pages. On top of that, I also feel the need for a bit of a creative break — not a halt, but a temporary change of focus, to do things different for a bit.

So for the first few months of 2021, as I settle down on some of the comics preproduction for the year, I'll also be busy working on a series of character images — some of my characters, some fan art of other characters, some development for future comics, and more. I want to get back to basics a bit, experimenting with design and color and more. So some of these will be quick sketches, some will be more finished color pieces and some will be stylistic exploration.

Specifically, here’s what’s in store for everyone during this time:

Big Fans ($2): You won't see much change. I’ll continue working on My Bigger Boyfriend, and you’ll continue seeing those strips weekly, two weeks before the general public. You’ll also get to vote on pinup wallpapers, next one coming in February.

Massive Fans ($6): You’ll be seeing a weekly-ish batch of character art as described above: sketches, colors, explorations; my characters, fan art, buff critters, maybe some growth or transformation stuff, and so on.

Colossal Fans ($12): You’ll receive the same batches of art, and more — including saucier NSFW characters and pin-ups, of course! 

Ginormous & Brobdingnagian Fans ($25+): As usual, you’ll receive all the art above, in hi-resolution and a day early. Also, you’ll be seeing exclusive behind-the-scenes development for the comics that will be coming up soon: character sketches, concepts, thumbnails, and so on.

Again, this is just for the next couple months or so; in early 2021 I’ll make an announcement about new comics that are in store!
