Volume 1 Chapter 63: Ho'olheyak

After killing the last Nightzmora Knight and erasing their traces, Garde felt no mercy.

The past of these Nightzmora Knights meant nothing to him; he only knew they had obstructed his path.

More than the Nightzmora Knights, Garde was intrigued by his own transformation.

Although it was brief, in this space of consciousness, his mastery over the power of ascension had greatly improved.

Initially, he hadn’t intended to grow as large as he did.

The battles in the dream didn’t affect reality with injuries; the space of consciousness was essentially a place for mental communication.

Some could enter this space under certain conditions, some could enter voluntarily, and others needed an appropriate medium.

"Which type are you?" Garde turned around as the space around him shattered like a broken mirror, pieces falling to the ground.

Appearing before the crocodile man was an old-fashioned study.

The room seemed small, but on closer inspection, it appeared to extend infinitely, with no end in sight.

This phenomenon was created not by the space itself but by the countless books on the shelves.

Each book contained the owner’s memories.

To glimpse these books was to peer into the owner’s memories, revealing scenes beyond common imagination.

The person who had spoken to Garde was here.

"After such a long battle, you must be tired. Would you like a glass of red wine, or perhaps another drink? While it’s not true indulgence, the taste can still be simulated." A woman with a feathered headdress and snake-like tail lounged on a sofa, raising a goblet and toasting Garde, the guest who had intruded into her room.

"Oh, I almost forgot to introduce myself. My name is Ho'olheyak. As I mentioned before, I am the honorary president of the Columbian Astrological Research Association. I saw your battle earlier. It was impressive. I believe this will make our upcoming cooperation much more pleasant."

Despite witnessing Garde’s battle with the Nightzmora Knights, Ho'olheyak showed no fear of Garde harming her, displaying a composed demeanor.

"An astrology association from Colombia? Since when can an astrology association extend its reach to Sargon?" Garde glanced around and found a sofa to sit on without any pretense.

Seeing the red wine in Ho'olheyak's goblet, Garde grabbed a bottle of champagne from a nearby cabinet.

It had some writing on it—Royal Liqueur.

Garde didn’t bother reading it, casually twisting off the cap and drinking directly from the bottle.

Gulp, gulp, gulp~

As Garde drank, he glanced at Ho'olheyak.

She didn’t seem the least bit annoyed by his crude behavior, watching him with a smile.

After Garde had downed the entire bottle of Royal Liqueur, Ho'olheyak asked, "Was it good?"

Burping, Garde nodded. "Not bad."

If only his mouth wasn’t so long and his tongue wasn’t so short, he would have licked his lips.

"How did you manage to replicate the taste of the wine so well? Is it because you’ve tasted it before? So, am I drinking wine now, or the taste you experienced?"

"Is the truth important?"

Garde shook his head.

"Indeed, it’s not. As long as it tastes good, I’ll try the real Royal Liqueur when we meet in reality."

"If that’s the case, you might be disappointed. I only have one bottle of Royal Liqueur in my collection, and I’ve already drunk it."

Ho'olheyak looked at Garde, her legs wrapped in black silk crossed, her thick, lizard-like tail lazily draped over her plump thighs, exuding an exotic allure.

"That’s a shame." Garde sighed inwardly, his gaze sweeping over Ho'olheyak.

Ho'olheyak's figure could be considered the best Garde had ever seen in a woman.

Perhaps "best" wasn't the right word; her form was so voluptuous that it bordered on being overly plump.

As for her strength, she wasn't extraordinarily powerful, comparable to Saria, but the fact that she could enter this space of consciousness indicated she was not as simple as she seemed.

However, Garde wasn’t here for a chat.

"You said you could help me, so what do you need me to do?"

He didn’t believe in altruism; this voluptuous woman definitely had her own agenda.

"Do you still need my help?" Ho'olheyak feigned surprise, then quickly returned to her usual confident demeanor.

"I thought you had already seen through the essence of this space."

"There are too many people; I can't save each one individually."

"You're trying to save them all?"

"How many can you save?"

"That depends on the reward you can offer me."

Finally, Ho'olheyak stopped concealing her intentions, her seductive eyes scanning Garde like a snake's tongue.

Garde replied, "If you help me save them, I'll owe you a favor."

Raising an eyebrow, Ho'olheyak said, "They're only worth a favor?"

Garde nodded. "Yes, the most important ones I'll handle myself."

Ho'olheyak looked disappointed. "Fine, I'll take it as some travel expenses. It wasn’t easy for me to get here, you know."

With the deal struck, Garde ignored Ho'olheyak and turned to leave.

"Heh, I don't know whether to admire his loyalty or his coldness. Am I really that unappealing that he doesn't want to chat a bit longer?"

Her words sounded like those of a jilted lover, but her face still bore a seductive smile.

She noted that the first person Garde was going to save seemed to be a key figure in a recently risen research company in Colombia.

Her name is…. Saria, isn’t it?

Her company wasn’t doing well lately.

"Looks like we'll have plenty of opportunities to work together in the future."

With a light laugh, Ho'olheyak entered the dream of a Rhine Lab operator.
