Chapter 32: First Day of School

The new student enrollment process at Shrek Academy had concluded in less than a week, and today was the first official day of classes for these new students.

Huo Yuhao had woken up early and arrived at Class 1 of the new student building while there were still very few people around.

Glancing at the spacious and nearly empty classroom, he walked over and sat right in the middle and crossed his leg.

As time passed, more students entered the classroom. However, upon seeing Huo Yuhao's carefree appearance, they all instinctively kept their distance.

The classroom gradually cleared around him, creating an odd scene with a crowded perimeter and an open space in the center.

At this moment, Wang Dong also walked into the classroom. Upon entering, he saw Huo Yuhao standing out in a crowd and couldn't help but feel exasperated.

Huo Yuhao always woke up early every morning, and Wang Dong wondered what he had been up to before school started. Upon approaching, he realized that Huo Yuhao was actually selling grilled fish at the entrance of the academy! What an odd thing to do!

Wang Dong walked over and sat next to Huo Yuhao, saying, "I thought you might be busy selling grilled fish again and forgot about the start of classes."

Huo Yuhao responded, "I'm not like you. I'm an orphan. I have to support myself."

He certainly wasn't going to acknowledge Dao Hao as his father. One slip of the tongue and he would have been accused of speaking ill of the still-living Duke of the White Tiger Clan.

"Orphan?" Wang Dong was taken aback. He hadn't expected Huo Yuhao to have such a background.

He didn't say anything further and waited quietly for the teacher to arrive.

The classroom gradually filled up. There were around a thousand new students in total, divided into ten classes. Class 1 had about a hundred students, filling the spacious classroom to the brim. Dai Huabin, Huo Yuhao's "cheap brother," hadn't been assigned to the same class. Currently, Huo Yuhao only recognized Wang Dong in the class.

Due to Wang Dong's outstanding looks, the vacant seat next to Huo Yuhao had inadvertently been filled by female students, all seemingly drawn to Wang Dong.

Since the teacher hadn't arrived yet, the new students began chatting with each other, causing the classroom to become noisy.

"Have you heard? Our class advisor has a really bad temper!"

"Really?"

"Yeah, I heard from a senior that our class advisor, Zhou Yi, is known as the 'Monster Teacher' in the academy."

"Her student dropout rate is much higher than that of other teachers."

"No way, that's bad news for me."

Weaker students lacking confidence secretly prayed in their hearts that the news was fake.

At that moment, a person walked in through the classroom door.

It was a stunningly beautiful woman with white hair and black pupils, appearing very youthful. She wore a white robe that couldn't conceal her graceful figure.

Her bright gaze swept across the classroom, carrying a hint of pressure.

This pressure seemed to have a deterrent effect. The once noisy classroom instantly quieted down, and every student stared at her in a daze, silently thinking, ‘She's so beautiful!’

The woman stepped onto the podium and introduced herself in a cold voice, "Hello, students. My name is Zhou Yi, and I am the class advisor for Class 1 of the new students. In the time to come, I will guide all of you in your studies at Shrek Academy."

She smiled slightly, her expression friendly.

A new student whispered, "What? Isn't this Zhou Yi should be hailed as a goddess? Why did they call her a monster?”

Zhou Yi praised, "I believe that all of you who have come from afar to Shrek Academy must be talents from various countries and the pride of your family elders, right?"

Hearing her words, the students in the audience began to feel a little favorably disposed toward this class advisor.

"Let's start by running a hundred laps on the field."

Zhou Yi clapped her hands gently and revealed a cute smile on her face.

However, the students in the classroom didn't find her cute at all; they just stared at her blankly.

"Did I hear it wrong? Did Teacher Zhou just ask us to run a hundred laps?"

"It seems... I heard wrong too..."

Zhou Yi forced a smile from the podium, staring at Huo Yuhao in the center of the classroom.

What's going on?

Why isn't it working the way she said it would? I've been so friendly; why isn't anyone listening to me?

Huo Yuhao just looked at her with a baffled expression.

Are you planning to switch to teaching preschoolers with this change in teaching style? Zhou Yi waved her hand dismissively and said, "Never mind, I forgot about one more thing."

"Anyone who has been in a fight since enrollment, stand up."

Huo Yuhao promptly stood up, Wang Dong gave a disdainful glance and followed suit.

The other students remained silent, fixing their gaze on their faces.

"You're really not good kids. I'll have to give you a proper scolding." Zhou Yi squinted and smiled, "The rest of you can go for a run, I want to have a talk with them."

Seeing that the students were still lingering, Zhou Yi finally couldn't hold back. She slammed the table and shouted, "Why aren't you going yet?"

A terrifying aura erupted from her, and six Spirit rings—two yellow, two purple, two black—circled around her.

She was unexpectedly a Spirit Emperor-level powerhouse.

She abandoned her previous friendly and gentle demeanor, scolding, "One hour! I'll give you one hour. Run a hundred laps around the track. Those who can't finish will regret it."

"You two, come here!"

Seeing her sudden outburst, the students hurriedly ran out of the classroom one after another.

"Uaaa~ So the monster is her behaviour? Not her beauty?”

"We're in trouble now!"

"She looks so pretty, how can she be so fierce..."

After the other students had all left, Zhou Yi walked towards Huo Yuhao with a sneer.

"Huo Yuhao, oh Huo Yuhao, is this the new method you were talking about? I tried speaking so kindly to them, but do you see them respecting me?"

Huo Yuhao was genuinely taken aback by her actions and helplessly said, "Teacher Zhou, changing to a strict teaching style doesn't mean you should abandon your authority as a teacher. What you did is just idiotic."

Wang Dong couldn't help but be surprised. When did Huo Yuhao have the time to know Teacher Zhou Yi?

"Alright, I'll figure it out slowly." Zhou Yi waved her hand and then asked, "So, what's your story? Getting into a fight even before classes start? What's your relationship?"

"He's Wang Dong, my roommate."

"Why did you fight?"

"He bullied me, relied on his strength to boss me around, probably a spoiled child at home too."

"You— You— You— you're talking nonsense! Clearly, you were the one bullying me!" Seeing Huo Yuhao tattle-taling first, Wang Dong immediately defended himself.

"Oh? So who won?" Zhou Yi's face showed interest.

"It— it was him who won." Seeing Huo Yuhao not speaking up, Wang Dong hesitated for a moment and reluctantly admitted.

"What?" Zhou Yi raised an eyebrow.

The enrollment information showed that Huo Yuhao only had one ring, while Wang Dong had two rings. Why couldn't Wang Dong defeat Huo Yuhao?

Zhou Yi couldn't help but become more intrigued by Huo Yuhao.

"It's okay, fights aren't a big deal. The school has always had a somewhat encouraging stance on this matter."

"Except when higher-grade students bully lower-grade students, that's taken seriously and can result in expulsion. But fights between lower-grade students challenging higher-grade students or among students of the same grade don't really matter."

"When you guys reach second year, you can go to the Spirit Duel Arena and have proper fights."

"Those who dare not to cause trouble are the epitome of mediocrity after all~"

Huo Yuhao frowned, looking at Zhou Yi with a cold gaze.

"Teacher Zhou, where are these twisted ideas of yours coming from?"

"When did causing trouble become something worthy of praise?"
